Schools throughout Broxtowe have done well in this years GCSE and A levels. For some it was their best set of results. Here are the overall stats. Well done to everyone - pupils, staff, parents and carers. My thanks to our schools for providing my team with their results.
Chilwell School
62.5% of GCSE students at the Chilwell School achieved 5 A*- C grades (including English and Maths) with 74.3% of all grades at A*-C .
80% of all A level grades were a C or above with 49% in the A*-B range and 22% of grades in the A*-A range.
Kimberley School
Kimberley School are celebrating their best ever GCSE Maths with 77% of students gaining an A*-C grade! Overall 62.5% of students achieved A*-C grades in both English and Maths.
A Level students at the Kimberley School achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate, with 73% A*- C grades. A* and Distinction * grades accounted for 22% of all grades.
White Hills Park Federation
Alderman White
Students at Alderman White achieved the school’s best ever GCSE results with 65% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades, including English and Maths. 75% of students obtained an A*-C grade in English and 73% obtained an A*-C grade in Maths.
The Bramcote School
Well done to students at Bramcote School for obtaining the school’s most improved GCSE results ever! 55% of students obtained 5A*-C grades (including English and Maths), with 68% achieving an A*-C grade in English and 69% obtaining an A*-C in Maths.
Bramcote Sixth Form College
A level students at Bramcote College achieved a remarkable pass rate of 99.7%, with 44% of A2 grades graded at A*-B. In addition, 65% of all vocational grades were graded distinction and above.
George Spencer Academy
A record 79% of GCSE students at George Spencer Academy gained a grade C or above in both English and Maths and 77% gained 5 A*-C grades overall (including English and Maths). This year’s results were amongst some of the best in the Academy’s history.
Half of the A level grades achieved by students were a grade B or higher, with 4 in 5 grades being at a C or above.
